When your allowance runs out

What actually happens, what customers see, and how the waiting ones get answered.

Your plan includes an allowance for the month. Answering a customer uses a little of it; so does reading a photo they send, or remembering what your business does.

Before it runs out

You get an email while there's still room, not after. Your usage screen shows how much of the month's allowance is left at any time.

When it's gone

The assistant stops replying. It does not send a broken answer, and it does not tell your customers anything about billing — nobody outside your business learns that something ran out.

Messages that arrive while you're out are not lost. They're held, and the moment you top up, the assistant answers the people who were waiting. Buying credit rescues real customers rather than just resuming service.

Getting going again

  1. 1Open Plan & billing.
  2. 2Choose a plan — or the same one again — and pay.
  3. 3The assistant starts answering immediately, beginning with the people who were waiting.

When a paid plan ends

It doesn't stop. Your account falls back to the free allowance and the assistant keeps answering on that — smaller, but not silent. You'll be reminded before the date, and again after, because a plan that has to be renewed by hand is easy to forget.
